About Lisa

Lisa Longnecker, P Hom, has been managing her own health by primarily natural means for the last 20 years. For many years, Ayurveda was her go-to medicine. With the help of a particular expert, she experienced rapid relief from the acute stage of a chronic condition. This changed her perspective. Since then, she has had success keeping healthy and managing a few minor chronic issues with Ayurveda. She’d  “tried Homeopathy” in the past but it hadn’t worked. To her, it seemed “fluffy.” Does that sound familiar? Fast forward several years. Lisa’s “official” entrée into Homeopathy came thanks to Benjamin.

Benjamin Booties, 2008-2022. RIP dear kitty!

Early in his life, Benjamin had bladder crystals and required a raw diet to thrive. Later in life, just a little over a year ago in fact, when he got his first-ever flea problem, Lisa was not about to give him flea drops…her previous cat had died just weeks after the first ever dose. So that was out of the question. Something rang a bell in the back of her mind. She remembered that someone once had said

“Homeopathy works on cats."

Homeopathy works on cats?

Why not try it. What do you have to lose?

So she duckducked “homeopathy for fleas” and found herself on the website of her now-teacher, Joette Calabrese. She tried a flea remedy recommended by Joette, and the rest…shall we say? is history.

Not only did the specified flea remedy cure the cat’s alopecia from the flea allergy, it also worked like magic keeping ticks off the dog!  And that, sans toxic drugs, thank you very much. Every time a new problem cropped up, the first thing Lisa would do is check Joette’s website. Of course, one thing led to another.. She found herself wanting to learn more and very shortly ended up in Joette’s Academy of Practical Homeopathy.

Joette is unlike any other Homeopath alive, because she employs and teaches the Banerji Protocols. The Banerji hospital in Calcutta has seen over 7000 patients per week—for the last 150 years. This enabled the late Prasanta and Pratip Banerji to amass an enormous body of clinical data, the results of which they have generously shared with the world.

Inspired by the Banerjis and Joette, is in a year-long study program of Practical Homeopathy. She will be a certified Practical Homeopath by the end of it.

In fact, many people turn to Homeopathy when they can’t figure out another way and ask themselves the same question Lisa did: “What do I have to lose?”

Perhaps so many people use Homeopathy as a “last resort” because when you find it, you finally stop searching.
